Background

Utilizing an FDA-cleared neuroscience-based approach, the Levo System is a personal and patented nightly sound therapy designed to improve the quality of a patient’s daily life.

Starfish Medical required a user bonding, administration, and support web application to manage and distribute the Levo System. As well, visual design and usability enhancements to align with Apple's User Interface Guidelines

My Role

Design & Development

Assessed and improved the Levo System for market readiness and improve the user experience and visual design to align with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines. Design and built a web application to manage accounts and support hardware bonding using QR codes.

User Interface (UI)



I designed and collaborated with iOS developers, hardware, and system engineers to implement design changes within a complex regulatory environment.

Responsible for changes to the information architecture and user experience. Designed a bonding system that ties passive sensors to purchase orders and user accounts using QR codes.

Oversight & Coordination

I worked closely with senior leaders to align the product development cycles, prioritizing features based on existing FDA requirements, and Apple development guidelines.

  • Outcome

    Since working on the Levo System Otoharmonics and Westone finalized an agreement for Westone to become the provider of custom-fit earphones for the Levo System in North America.
